École Missipo Monney Bernard

Building a bilingual school's digital showcase, from zero to a real acquisition tool

38+real photos organised into 12 categories

Context

École Missipo Monney Bernard has taught students from pre-kindergarten to CM2 / Class 6 since 1995, in Douala, across two distinct educational tracks — a French-speaking section and an English-speaking section, each run within its own complete educational system. The school had real proof to show — hundreds of activity photos, careful pedagogy, a clear pricing policy — but no tool to showcase any of it, or to turn an interested parent into an enrolment enquiry.

Client objectives

Move on from a presence scattered across social media and word of mouth, put real content — photos, pricing, calendar — to work instead of leaving it locked in PDFs and WhatsApp messages, and give the school full publishing autonomy so no update depends on a developer.

Our strategy

Build four content pillars, each answering a concrete question a parent asks before enrolling their child — the school's real day-to-day life, level-by-level pedagogy, and support services — and ship a back office the school's own staff can run without ever touching code.

Our intervention

Built on Next.js (App Router), TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, with a Sanity headless CMS shipped with 5 custom content types (News, Team, Pedagogy, Gallery, Transport), a dedicated admin interface and a usage guide written for a non-technical team. Over 250 raw photos were sorted, cropped and organised into 12 clickable categories. Every level across both sections — from pre-kindergarten to CM2 and Kindergarten to Class 6 — has its own pedagogy sheet. Colours, typography and tone of voice carry over the school's existing visual identity rather than a generic template. The site is deployed on its own custom domain (ecolemissipo.com).

Deliverables

  • Bilingual FR/EN site on Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, custom domain
  • Sanity headless CMS: 5 content types (News, Team, Pedagogy, Gallery, Transport)
  • 250+ photo gallery organised into 12 categories
  • Level-by-level pedagogy sheets for both sections
  • Usage guide handed to the school's staff

Value created

A site in production on its own domain, with full editorial autonomy for the school's staff — news, class sheets, team, gallery and transport info all publishable without a developer — and hundreds of previously dormant photos finally turned into a navigable gallery.
