Building websites with Claude Code
Six modules, 42 hours, and a real site live at the end: yours. A method for designing, steering, checking and shipping a website with AI — without becoming a developer, and without trusting it blindly.

Where we stand
AI produces. Humans steer.
Claude Code is not a magic wand. It writes code fast and well, and it gets things wrong with exactly the same confidence. The value does not come from the tool: it comes from what you know to ask for, and what you know to refuse. That is precisely what this training teaches.
What Claude Code does
- Write the code for a page, a component, a form
- Explain an existing project and propose fixes
- Audit a site and list what is wrong with it
- Produce documentation from what it wrote
What you have to do yourself
- Define the business objective and the audience first
- Supply the real content — copy, photos, contact details
- Check the facts: AI invents plausible, false details
- Triage an audit instead of applying it wholesale
- Refuse a proposal, and be able to say why
- Stand behind the delivery in front of the client
What you leave with
A site online, and the ability to do it again alone
A training course that leaves you with an unfinished project has not done its job. You arrive with an idea — a non-profit to make known, a school to fill, a business to position — and you leave with the site published on a public URL.
Your site, live
Published, working, verified in production. Not a mockup, not a prototype.
A method
SEED — Structure, Execute, Evaluate, Deploy — reusable on your next project, without a trainer.
A prompt library
The SeedScaleUp Prompt Kit: 21 field-tested prompts, plus your own working journal.
A codebase you understand
Your own code — one you can read, change and hand over to someone else.
The method
SEED — four movements, six modules, 42 hours
The course follows a method you keep afterwards. That method, more than the tool, is what makes the result reproducible on your next project. And there is only ever one project, start to finish: yours.
Structure
Know what you are building and why, before a line of code is written.
Execute
Have the site built section by section, with real content, checking at every step.
Evaluate
Test, measure, make it accessible and findable — and triage what the AI proposes instead of applying all of it.
Deploy
Go live, verify in production, document it so it can be handed over.
The detailed programme — modules, workshops, hours and deliverables — is shared with you at the sign-up diagnostic.
What the programme is built on
Three sites actually delivered, not three textbook cases
The programme was not imagined: it was built from an audit of three sites SeedScaleUp genuinely designed and shipped with Claude Code. The workshops reuse their real difficulties — including the mistakes that made it into the first version.
Baseline level
A non-profit's showcase site
The level everyone must reach: a real showcase site online, optimised images, a contact form, correct metadata.

Intermediate level
A bilingual school's site
ecolemissipo.com — a back office so the school's own staff publish news and class sheets without a developer, and 250+ photos organised into a gallery.

Advanced level
seedscaleup.com
Bilingual, real forms, migration SEO: 36 permanent redirects from the old site, and one rule deliberately dropped because it would have broken the new pages.
The mistakes we teach you to avoid, because they happened to us
- A wrong phone number that stayed live: AI does not know your contact details.
- Two invented photo captions, published: AI cannot see your photos.
- A misread teaching model: AI invents plausible, false nuances about your field.
- Articles published in the back office that never appeared on the site: the code was right, the promise made to the user was not.
Skills
32 skills practised and assessed
3 cross-cutting skills and 29 craft skills. Each one is tied to a scored criterion: a skill that is not assessed is not certified.
The three cross-cutting skills
Steering Claude Code
Give context, break work down, read, refuse, decide.
Running the working loop
Context, request, result, verification, correction, commit.
Validating information
Tell what has been verified from what is merely plausible.
The six craft areas
- Framing
- Understanding the web
- Building
- Making it work
- Evaluating
- Deploying and handing over
Certification
You earn it, you don't buy it
Choosing a package that includes assessment entitles you to face the jury, not to the result. That requirement is what makes the certification defensible in front of an employer or a client.
What you are assessed on
- 01A second projectBuilt independently, for a need different from your course project
- 02Before a juryYou demonstrate your site in production and answer for your choices
- 03Against a written gridKnown in advance, applied the same way to everyone
The principle is simple: prove the method is reproducible without the trainer.
Four non-negotiable conditions
The assessment result is not enough on its own: these four conditions must all be met, and they do not offset one another. A strong submission with no site online is not certified.
- 1The site is liveon a public HTTPS URL, and it works
- 2The feature genuinely worksdemonstrated in production before the jury
- 3A problem is documentedsymptom, cause, fix
- 4The documentation is tested by a third partywho managed to change the site unaided
Packages
Three packages, one training course
We do not carve the programme up in order to sell it. Whichever package you choose, you take all six modules and you leave with a site online. What changes is everything around it.
Starter
100 000 FCFA
« I leave with my site online and the method to build more. »
- The opening masterclass and the technical setup
- All 6 modules — 42 taught hours
- The through-line project → your site online
- The Prompt Kit, the materials and the Quality Checklist
- Certificate of attendance
- 30 days of group follow-up
Builder
Recommended250 000 FCFA
« I leave certified, with a marked project and three months of support. »
- Everything in Starter
- Final project marked on the 100-point grid
- Jury assessment — certification
- 3 months of follow-up + 2 Q&A sessions
- Supported deployment
- Level C module (+12 h) as an option
Closer
400 000 FCFA
« I leave able to make a living from it: one-to-one support, commercial tools and access to SeedScaleUp's projects. »
- Everything in Builder
- 8 h of one-to-one coaching + a review of your code
- 6 months of follow-up + one private session a month
- Domain name paid for 1 year + professional email
- Back office configured + a written audit of the site
- Level C module (+12 h) included
- Business masterclass (3 h)
- SeedScaleUp network: public directory and access to subcontracted projects
Payment in two or three instalments is available on all three packages, by mobile money.
The SeedScaleUp network, plainly
The directory
A public page on seedscaleup.com: your name, your city and the site you delivered. A client looking for someone finds you there.
Subcontracting
When SeedScaleUp receives more site requests than it can handle, it passes some to certified members of the network, paid per project.
Closer only, and conditional on certification actually being earned — not on buying the package. No volume of work is guaranteed: it is access to opportunities, not a contract or a promised income.
Practicalities
Two rhythms
Intensive
6 days- Seven hours a day, from framing to the final review
- Company seminar, bootcamp, full availability
- Your site online within a week
Condition: technical setup signed off and real content — copy, photos, contact details — ready before day one.
Extended
7 weeksRecommended- One taught session a week, plus your own work
- For working professionals, freelancers and staff in continuing education
- Time to produce your content and have it approved
Why we recommend it: producing real copy and real photos takes weeks, not a day. It is the single biggest cause of delay on a web project.

Frequently asked
What people ask before signing up
Do I need to know how to program?
No. No programming experience is required. A diagnostic at sign-up places your level, and the 2-hour technical setup happens beforehand, with support if needed — so no teaching hour is lost to installation problems.
Do I really leave with a site online?
Yes, whichever package you choose. It is the programme's commitment: the project you bring on day one is published on a public URL by the end of the course. It is also the first non-negotiable condition of certification.
Is certification guaranteed if I pay for the package that includes it?
No. Choosing Builder or Closer entitles you to jury assessment, not to the result. You have to clear the grid's threshold and meet the four non-negotiable conditions. A candidate can complete the course without being certified — which is exactly what makes the certification credible.
Can Claude Code just build the site for me?
It writes the code, not your project. It knows neither your contact details, nor your photos, nor your field — and it invents plausible, false details when you do not supply them. This training is about precisely what stays human: framing, supplying the real, verifying, triaging, refusing, standing behind it.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Payment in two or three instalments is available on all three packages, by mobile money.
What happens after the training?
Follow-up is included in every package: 30 days as a group for Starter, 3 months and two Q&A sessions for Builder, 6 months and one private session a month for Closer. It is after the course that most learners give up on their own; that is why follow-up is part of the offer.
Getting started
The opening masterclass is public and free
Two hours to see concretely what Claude Code makes possible, and what it will never do in your place. You leave with your site idea written down in five lines — and enough to decide whether the course is for you.
